Yorkie Nirvana Guarantee
(subject to change at any time before signing)
1. Puppy Guarantee: Your puppy is guaranteed to be sound in mind and body at the time of purchase. Your puppy will be up to date on its vaccinations and will have been dewormed as needed by our local Vet. Our Vet has us follow a schedule of vaccinations beginning at 8 weeks and continuing every 3 weeks until a series of 3 vaccinations has been given. A current Puppy Health Record will be provided to you. The puppy has not been exposed to any communicable diseases.
2. Buyer is responsible for regular veterinary care, including but not limited to, the remainder of the vaccinations, rabies vaccinations, monthly heart worm preventative and periodic worming.
3. Buyer will need to take the Health Record provided and your puppy to a licensed veterinarian of your choice within 72 (seventy-two) hours of purchase date in order for the current health of the puppy to be established and to receive instructions on continuing care and vaccination schedule. If the puppy is found to be unhealthy within those first 72 (seventy-two) hours, the Buyer may return the puppy with the Veterinarians statement, describing the problem and receive a refund. The Seller requires to be contacted first prior to any kind of medical treatment within those first 72 hours. If the Seller is not contacted first, this contract and guarantee will be void.
4. Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) and coccidiosis are not covered. It is common for new puppies to have a temporary loss of appetite when they first arrive at their new home. It is a good idea to give them vitamin supplements or Karo syrup in their water for a least a few days following purchase if your puppy is not eating properly. It is the Buyer’s responsibility to prevent these ailments. You will find more information in your Puppy Packet regarding these health issues…please read them carefully and thoroughly.
5. The Seller does not guarantee size, temperament, bite, color, breeding ability or patellar subluxation.
6. All puppies are guaranteed to be free of congenital defects for 1 (one) year. If a congenital problem should occur which is life threatening OR significantly reduces the quality of life of the puppy, the puppy will be replaced. There will be no cash refund. Genetic problems must be agreed upon by TWO separate Veterinarians (from unassociated practices). The Buyer will be responsible for all veterinarian expenses. If a genetic problem is diagnosed Seller will, upon being provided with veterinary verification and documentation, provide Buyer with one of the following:
1. Should Buyer choose not to keep the puppy, a replacement Yorkie puppy of equal value will be offered when becomes available.
2. Should the puppy be euthanized, Seller will provide a suitable replacement puppy when one is available. A copy of the autopsy report must be provided to the Seller before a replacement will be made. Buyer is responsible for all shipping charges both on original puppy and any replacement puppy.
7. The Seller is not responsible for any Veterinarian bills incurred. We will not replace a puppy that has been injured or exposed to a disease, while in the Buyer’s possession.
8. The Buyer will receive an AKC Registration Application form from the Seller which will have the Seller information already completed. The Buyer may choose to file the application online with AKC or mail the form to AKC. This should be done as soon as possible so the Buyer will be registered as the owner of the puppy.
9. Buyer agrees should the puppy be shown, information on all awards, critiques, etc. will be forwarded to Seller along with photos if available, or the opportunity to purchase a photo, if available, for future advertising by Seller.
10. Buyer agrees not to begin strenuous exercise and physical training with puppy until puppy has reached a minimum age of 18 months. This is to prevent damage to puppy during its formative stages. Buyer acknowledges that failure to meet this requirement will void this contract.
- Buyer agrees not to sell, give or otherwise transfer puppy without first giving Seller right of first refusal.
